PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION: MAGAZINE PROPOSAL

INTERDICTION

What's my magazine is going to be about is all about movies but let me start telling you that my magazine is similar to a TV guide magazine but in this film guide magazine is all about films. Also some of you will think that its only British films or films from america which its known as Hollywood.

In the United Kingdom we are multi cultured country with a lot of cultures from Britain itself and other ethics groups which they have shown what there culture is all about and there religion, When you see people that they are from a different country which they have come to Britain for a better life and when you walk into a shop just to get a magazine or film magazine you will just see that on TV is going to be a British film or a Hollywood film.

MY IDEAS

The ideas that have come into my mind that to create a film guide magazine which its going to be called "MULTI CULTURE FILMS" and the reason why I called this magazine a multi cultured film magazine is because that this country lives in a multi cultured environment with lots of ethics and the only they don't see on TV a film acted in there own culture or in their own language which its a real shame .

So the idea has came into my head that to create this magazine which on the front page it can have pictures of the popular, less popular, classic and the least films. For an example Titanic is a classic  american film which shows that Titanic film poster on the front page and they will be other small film posters of other ethnic films will be on the magazine just to show that they may come on the TV.

Also inside the magazine first page it shows the list of UK TV channels and the channels is spited in to two which shows what movies are coming on the free-view channels and the pay channels such like Sky the way the TV channels will be lied out on the magazine is the most popular Free-view channels and same with the Sky channels and the new thing is that there be new channels launched so it doesn't get in a racial debate for an example if BBC one just putting Asian films then other people will actually hate it and there will be saying a lot of bad things.

So the way is going be lied out is that on the top section it say all the languages like under English it will have the country names shows where the movies are from like Australian films are from Australia , UK films and American films and same for the other languages films which statistically there roughly 6,500 languages which shows this new Magazine will show that is actually a multi cultured film magazine and the other thing is that it will have most of the films on there and the other thing there will launch the films on catch up , also in this magazine is going to be big and it will be same for the TV .

Also from June  6th  you will get the multi cultured magazine in the shops which you can enjoy watching movies in English or in your own language , the list of new channels that you will see in your Magazine are Sky Asian and BBC Asian under the word Asian it will have list of category like China, India, Pakistan and Japan and many more other channels will be launched which you see in your Magazine and the other thing is that when people will hear about this new magazine a lot of people will be buying the magazine and looking through what films are coming on so a lot of people will have TV screens on is because they looked at the magazine in this bit of the proposal print media will grow bigger and the broadcasting so print media and broadcasting are actually helping each other .

As you know that in this magazine you will see the list of multi culture films and the other thing is that all of the films are adults and there will be films for the children like animated or not animated which is for children .

Also the films names will be written in there own language but the thing that other people will know that Bollywood films have Hindi names but they are written in English letters and that will go for all of the languages is because not many people will be able to read in there own language . 

The other thing that will be established is the multi cultured app which can find what movies will be on and it will say what movies will be on next week so the app will say a lot and also the magazine will say a lot as well .

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for this magazine it will be mainly teenagers and adults is because they are going to look at the magazine just to see what movies are on but only some children will look at the magazine but not many will is because they are too young to look at a magazine is because they can't read because they might be in Nursery those children will be able to read they are young but a lot older. 

Also the main people would read this sort if magazine is adults and teenagers is because they enjoy reading the magazine is because they want to know what movies will be on tonight or during the day , even older people will be into buying this magazine and as Britain is multi cultured country with a lot ethics group more people will be buying the magazine just to see what movie is on in there own language and this magazine is for both genders and this world cant't act if we are leaving in the past is because back in the day all women use to stay at home or some things they are not allow to do like read or watch but as they are living in Britain they can also buy it so the magazine is aimed at both genders.

The type of people will be into buying the magazine are the working class is because they have the time to buy the magazine and have a look at it is because they go to work and when they come home they have something to eat and they would sit down and open the magazine and they try and find what language film they want to watch and it say a lot the film name , how old is the film and what channel its on . 

So what's my magazine is about it's an multicultural film magazine and what is about so the way I'm going to pitch it for you so the front cover of the magazine is going to have the masthead called multicultural film which that's in red and there like short and bits long sub headline to tell you what's in this magazine and the front cover the logo of the world but in it countries flags will go near to the masthead and the image for the magazine is the latest films from around the world could pitch that this is a multi cultured film magazine .Even is got

The things will go inside is what films are coming on what day and time and the films will have the channels and in my proposal that they will launch more freeview TV channels and pay channels such as sky because everyone wants to have the opportunity to watch a film in their own languages so they know what's there own cultures about because a lot of people will may say that it important to know your own culture and there is one way to find it is watch a film based off your culture then you will know how the film works in your own culture .

For an example Bollywood films it belongs to India an India there is a lot of culture parts of india which they put all together which makes there films so beautiful when the man and women dress in their traditional clothes and dance there cultured way. Plus every films are different so if you watch an Bollywood film and a Hollywood film the two bits of the film will be that in Hollywood film there is a lot kissing scene and in Bollywood a lot of songs and dancing but only few kiss scene but not many because in some cultures there films industry are not allowed to put kiss scene like in Dubai I bet there is no kissing scene is because in public there are not allowed is because they follow their religious laws.

PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION SESSION - NEWSPAPER ANALYSIS - ADVERT ANALYSIS


The advert that I'm analyzing for my Magazine is Power Bar which the look of the advert is a type chocolate bar which when people see it they will think that is very fating and its actually bad for your health but is not .

Also the name Power Bar gives you energy if you eat it and the type of font they have used on the package actually stands out and when you are are walking then in the shops window then you see Power Bar then you may think that they have used the type of font for a action movie name on the poster .

The other thing that you will be able to notice is the background colour bar is all blue which it stands out to the advert is because it makes you want buy the bar and it makes you want to eat it . Also the chocolate energy bar itself is split because just makes to buy it and inside the bar it shows that if you eat it you will get lots of energy . Even it makes this advert in a way above the advert picture itself is shows a man doing sit ups and it actually shows that if you eat the Power Bar you will have the full energy to do sit ups without getting tired and the reason why this advert is been put into this magazine is because this magazine is called Fighters only which is a boxing magazine and the people will be into to this energy bar is sports people   .   

Even the other thing is that the quote "Reduced to the maximum ", it actually shows that when you eat this bar it will give you the maximum energy that you actually need so you be able to fight as strong fighter even one day you will be on the front cover page of fighters only by eating this bar .

PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION - MAGAZINE ANALYSIS PART TWO


Part two is analyzing the magazines article which is still 5 minute round, one of the articles that I'm analyzing is called Q&A which stands for in long sentence questions and answers and the journalist is interviewing the boxer called Alonzo Menifiela and the journalist is called Tony Reid .

Whats this article telling you about that Alonzo was in a fight 7-0 which he has won and when someone read this article and analyzed it then you can tell how happy is Alonzo is and the text shows the difference from the journalist and the boxer itself which which the journalist is asking the all the hard questions is because it shows that the journalist is excited to interview someone who is quite famous.

The way this article is written it's in a very different way because usually a Magazine article its about  facts what is going on and its actually telling you some sort of story in some sense. As this article is an Q&A article the type of story is telling you that there is no story its only a question and answer article which you get to see in other magazine when someone who is famous and they have done something very well then the editor choices someone to go and ask the questions then take notes whats the answers are coming from the celebrity.   

The other thing that you could notice in the Q&A article the way of the writing that journalist have written you probably could tell that the writing in bold is all the questions coming from the journalist itself and the one with no bold writing is the answers coming from a famous celebrity, also in this case the questions are coming from the journalist Tony Reid which shows in bold and the answer from the boxer.

 Alonzo Menifiela in normal font the reason why Tony is interviewing Alonzo is because Alonzo has won a boxing match, and you can see in bold that tony is asking some questions and in normal font is the boxer answer and most of the answers i can see is good and long answer which would taken a lot time write this article .

PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION - MAGAZINE ANALYSIS PART ONE


The magazine that I'm analyzing its a boxing magazine which is called Fighters only and the name of the magazine is very eye catching and in some sense it's showing that if you want to fight then you are like the member to be a in fighters only and the other thing is that if you are scared or not willing to fight then you can't be a member of fighters only .

On the front cover of the magazine it got a lot of range of colours which it makes to buy the magazine and it tamps you to hold it . Also on the front cover of the magazine is got a picture of a boxer  which he is very famous boxer and you could tell that to be on the front page of the magazine this boxer would have a very long struggling story to be a number one boxer and to get on the front cover of fighters only .

As you can see that the way the boxer body shape is that he would of done training every single  everyday so he can win against the weak boxer and continue to brain wash and the editor to put his face on the front cover , even the type of clothing he is wearing it looks like a silver metal rob it shows he is the king of boxing .

Also has you can see the masthead of the magazine fighter only the font they would of put in capital is because to get you to buy the magazine the reason why they have put in red is so it make you to pick up the magazine is because they want to be number one . The reason why the background is in purple is because so it stands out with the magazine and the other reason is so you can see the quotes clearly with colours . Also the important quote they have edit is " train hard fight easy ", by reading that quote it makes you think that if you train hard then when it comes you to fight then it would be very easy .

The type of people will be interested to pick up the magazine and look at the front cover it would be the both generation young and old and will be targeted to both males and females males will be watching females will like the boxers body .

PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION - NEWSPAPER ANALYSIS - ADVERT ANALYSIS





The advert that I'm analyzing in the daily star its a conman advert that you see a lot and you see in peoples hand all the time yes my friends is mobile phones advert , the type of advert is a smart phone advert and the type of company is Samsung phones and you may think why people stills buys an android phone but some may find it easy to use sted off an iPhone.

Also the advert picture they are advertising and the model of the phone that they are advertising is an Samsung Galaxy note 9 which is a very big model of the phone which is the similar size of your hand and has the phone model is an Galaxy note 9 it comes with the interactive pen.

Even the colour is green is because the company the Samsung Galaxy note 9 they have teamed up is with EE which they are a phone provider and the little white spots is trying to get your intention just to buy the phone. The other thing is very eye catching is the writing and the type of text they have written which they have put it in capitals the first bit of the title it says "WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT VALUE".

Also the title is trying to get you to buy the phone because has is a big phone and the battery ,memory of the phone is huge is got a lot of power which that bit is trying to say that this will the most powerful phone in the world, and the second bit of the title it says comes great value and that means this phone is the most beautiful and precious phone in the world.

The other thing is that the phone is aimed at young people mainly is because a lot of people who users the technology everyday life they know how to operate it , as a young person would look at the phone and they see is big but is got a pen and in their on minds they will be thinking if I got this phone right now I can download lots of apps then I will be able to do quite of lot of things on it . But only older people would off use it just to keep up with the technology and if they have work to do they can use it easily to get things done.   

    



  

      

    

PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION - NEWSPAPER ANALYSIS - FEATURE ARTICLE



This article in the daily star its all based on one thing the way they have support this article also its been supported by a large picture which is dominated and its supported by the text so when people read the article is going to match with the picture and the reason why they put an article and it's trying to say if you need to travel then you need to be prepared what is the danger could occur round the corner .

Also the large picture is giving you a warning and by looking picture at the picture which the photographer has used this picture of the car stacked because there is thick snow on the road which that has led the tyres stick which means your car want move . Also if you need to travel lets to the shops don't go in your car or otherwise you would get stuck or another word that it can be used  stranded, and if the shop like 5 minutes or 10 minutes down the road then dress up warm so you would be fine .

Even the colors of the font on the headline they heaved used only two blue and white which by looking at its all in capitals which shows the coldest is out there and it really makes you think by reading the blue and white headline what the homeless will do in the cold weather . Also the colors makes you think that is not danger but it will be mega mega cold .

The other headline and picture is the bad weather in Italy it shows that is much worse weather tornado, the reason why on the button of the page it says "meanwhile in Italy " what that is trying to say that there is bad weather in the united kingdom which it shows is snowing but in Italy the weather condition is even more bad is because there is tornado which in Italy its very winder and with the strong wind a lot of things can be blown away.

Also the other thing is that they have put the bad weather happening in Italy and the font is describing in Italy is that the out layer they have put it in black and that's trying to get the readers intention that yes there is bad weather in the UK but in Italy is even more worse. When you just see the picture it can actually telling you if you are planning to go to Italy don't go because you would be in the bad situation.
