Production Diary 

The software I used to make my poster is Adobe Photoshop and what my poster is about is about my Mandir (temple) opening the mean headline say "Mandir Murti Pratishta which means " image placement inside the temple " which you may actually think what is the actual meaning is when a Hindu temple gets a new temple they have to do this ceremony to put lives in the deities to give them  sight. 

So how I make this poster is by using the plan draft layout so the first thing I had to do is to put a blank paper an filter paper by clicking on to file then click new then after that click on print then after that click on A4 paper which I got a blank paper-white paper so the first thing I had to do is put at the background colour blue so I selected the colour blue then press the bucket icon on the side bar which turn the white paper into blue the first thing that I did was the subheading at the top which is got the temple name written on "BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Coventry " and the font I used was Arial and the number size was 14 then next thing I did was but the headline Mandir Murti Pratishta which the font I put it on to was in Arial but it was in bold and I made the number size of the font to 48 and I put it in capitals because that's the main headline also I put the subheading and the headline in the colour white .

The next thing I did was put the text in which is just information were the two functions going to take place one was at Mercia and the function was called "Mahapuja" means " worshiping the Image " every temple does this when a new temple is going to be opened" and the other text is the information of the open day of the temple which the text font was in black and the font was Arial and the number size was 18 then when that was done I started putting the images in .

The images that I have put in was the logo of the Mandir BAPS and other images of the deities the two spiritual leaders and the Hindu symbols on both side when I uploaded the Images they were huge so I made them a little bit smaller so everything fits in the way I wanted to and during making this poster I had no struggle making it.

I did a draft layout of what my poster will look like. I based the layout on ideas I saw with other posters for similar events.

MY IDEA

What my ideas is that I'm going to do a poster for the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Coventry which is a Hindu temple which opening and what the poster is going to be about that the opening of the temple is going to be big so I'm persuading other Hindus or followers of Lord Swaminarayan to come and join this event and this event is for everyone you don't need to be a follower Lord Swaminaryan or to be a Hindu a place of worship is open for everyone doesn't matter the what religion you are is for everyone .

The other thing is that is going to be big in Coventry and this may not happen again the next 60 years or maybe more so it will be good idea to make the poster  so it stands out and put images and features will make people want to come by looking at the poster and is mainly a range of colors which makes people want to come .

Also the type of text article will be information when the event is going to take place and the time everything will be in the poster the information you need to know . When the poster is done it will be put on shops windows to show people interests that they want to come and the other thing how will try to get people to come is sending invitations to the VIP but there is very rare     

PLANNING    
     
What fonts you're going to use, what colors are going to dominate, what kind of images are you going to need.

The types of fonts I'm going to use is all sizes representing different bits of the information and the colors I'm going to use is blue to the background and white color font for the text . and the images that I'm going to use is the deities which will be installed into the temple the image is the supreme lord , lord Swaminarayan and the demi-Gods and Goddesses and pictures of Lord Swaminarayan's successors .   

What equipment/software I'm going to use

The equipment that i'm use is the computer and the software that I'm will be using is Adobe Photoshop and paint , the reason why I might use paint to help me plan where everything is going to go but Photoshop will be the one to design this poster . 

Deadline.
I am working to a deadline of the 26th June. This will give me enough time to source imagery and spend time designing and completing the poster.

'Final Production Diary

Today I finally completed my front cover and my inside page of my magazine and the name I have given to my magazine is MULTICULTURED FILMS . How I designed my inside page is that I have done dozen of drafts what my inside page is going to look like then when I got the idea I used that plan to create in my inside page then when was happy with my Creation plan then I opened Adobe Photoshop but the first thing I  had to put the A4  filter page so it looks doubled then when that was done I put another layer on to my page a grayish filter on the left side so it looks doubled. 

Also When the layers where done the first thing that I did was put my article First which that didn't take long is because I typed my listing article on a word Document there are two articles one is a Bollywood Film and the other one is a Hollywood but unfortunately I run out of time to put all of the article in so I had to make a very strong decision that I'm going to put one film for Bollywood and one for Hollywood the most popular films so the two films I have picked from the two industry one film is called Baaghi 2 and the other one is War Horse. 

The things I have written for Baaghi 2 is that what date, time,channel , year , starring , country , language , my opinion  on the film and the storyline of the film which is found it quite sad. Also I did it for same for War horse.  

If I had the chance, and more time, to do these again I would make the front cover outsiding and with the front cover I could of put more pages in if I was really use to using Photoshop .   

MAGAZINE PRODUCTION WEEK 4 - ARTICLE FLATPLAN

This is the draft layout I will be working towards.

When my listicle article was done on a word document I was own my way planning how to do my first draft and where the article will go so what I did was I made quite a lot of attempts  my first draft layout planning on paint which is quite dull but the plan came out in the end the way I wanted to be . What the plan should look the two headlines at the top that's where the country of origin film will go Bollywood on the left and Hollywood on the right.

Even the other thing is that I have chosen one best film in Bollywood and same for Hollywood so it just save time when it comes to make inside page of the Magazine, and what I did was I finalized that the article and the draft layout plan was good and I felt happy so I started designing my first draft of my inside page and the inside page is going to be done on Photoshop which I find it quite comfortable to use .

When I came to do my inside on Photoshop I had to first to put the paper filter then when that was done I had started the first bit of my creation was putting the article what I did was I opened my file which is saved as a word document that's where the article is written so what I had to do was highlight everything press the right click button then go on to Photoshop then paste the article on Photoshop.

Also the other thing is that I wanted to put all of the Films but due to the time I have I had to pick one film for Bollywood and one for Hollywood the most popular ones .   








 

PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION WEEK 3: WRITING MY FIRST DRAFT

Write your article in MS Word according to your pitch

So whats my article is about its an listcle article which is quite different to other magazine in a way is more like a TV guide which you open up then you see  full of a list which shows is broadcasting on TV then it has a small article brief what is happening in the show but my magazine is all about multi cultured film so films from around the world but my magazine holds 400 words so what I have done is I have picked the film who are the most popular.

Also I did lots of secondary research on the internet find the best films which the internet was very helpful to help with my research the way I did it is look at TV guide how there guide is made which it help me quite a lot , the thing is this all going to be put on in-design would be quit fiddly so what did I made the film guide on the word document put the channels names and etc which I have put in a word document then to create the design on in - design .

The way I have done is do all the written on a word document then to create the format grid I'm going to that on paint then because in- design is quite fiddly to draw grids which that will take ages to do so the best thing is to do everything on paint for example do the design on paint and the article on word then copy the whole article then paste on to paint then the next bit will be difficult unless could have a go by trying to copy the grid drawn and the article on paint then paste on to the in - design with everything I have done which it will be hopefully on in- design for my inside page if i create  the inside on in -design it will quite take a while so to do bits by bits  I will hopefully get there .

THE PITCH

WHAT I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT . . .
What my article is about is an listicle article which in some way they have all the list of the movies channels and the other thing is that all the movies have been listed in is got all the list of movies and it doesn't have to be old or new is got all the movies only the most popular ones . Also other thing is that not all of the movies will be on it so what will happen is that they have something called movie of the week which the most popular films get put on the magazine .           


WHY THIS WILL APPEAL TO THE READERS . .

The way this will appeal to the reader is that there will be a page full of the listing of the films which they would be the latest and some of the other ones are old , the other thing is that the reader will pick of the magazine look at it and see what movie is on and also they have got all the types of genres .


TO WRITE THIS ARTICLE I WILL NEED TO . . . 
Tell me what combination of research - primary research/secondary research - you'll be using for your information and your images.

The type of research that I did was a secondary because from my own knowledge I know quite a lot of films so the best thing that I did was I went on the internet and typed into the search bar such like Korean movies, Bollywood movies , British Movies and many more movies from other different countries .

As in this world when somebody made a movie back in the day then it really has spreaded around the world and people who are actors most of them have got a job working in the movies and the other thing is when someone who works for the movie let's say writing the scripts and they have some sort of job like telling a story of the movie .

If you watch other peoples culture movies and you see the way how they act, then you know what type of acting they do and it really tells you the type of bodies trade like the type of laws should be allowed to put in the films like some countries say that they should not put any kissing scene due to religious laws and the reason could be if you watch something that can have a effect on a lot of people then you will be harming others .

The next thing is that if you watch movies with strict laws it makes you think how much they have to handle all the rules so they don't want to break a law or a rule which some movies are not allowed to put any sexual thing because the film industry really have to respect the laws and the religious laws which it can be very difficult to follow .

As the magazine is going to be a worldwide magazine in a way it's an multicultural films magazine which you get every country film the type of film will include all genres but the type of films will be written down on the listicle article is the best films in Hollywood or the best British film which it will have the channel name and what time film is coming on .

Bearing in mind that one side of A4 is about 400 words and one page of indesign can sustain about 800 words give me a realistic wordcount you will stick to for now - you might find yourself increasing/decreasing the wordcount as time goes on and you realise how much you've got to say/write but you can always reflect those changes in the ongoing production diary posts you'll be doing every week.

For my magazine is just going to be the front cover which have some connection to the multi cultured side , there is going to be only one page the amount of 400 words

Have a look at your proposal - what launchdate did you give your mag? Your piece should be written at least 2 weeks before that date which will give you enough time to edit it and design the layout.
